Oliver Florey completed his Ph.D at Imperial College London in 2006, with Prof. Dorian Haskard, studying the recruitment of leukocytes to sites of inflammation. He followed this with a post-doc in the lab of Prof. Bill Muller at Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, and another with Dr Micheal Overholtzer at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, New York. In 2014 he was awarded a Cancer Research UK Career Development award to start my own lab at the Babraham Institute, Cambridge, UK. To date, his work focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms and functions of a non-canonical autophagy pathway with implications in lysosome homeostasis.
Seminar topic: Non-canonical autophagy as a key regulator of lysosome homeostasis
