Pablo VARGAS is a leading expert in investigating leukocyte dynamics at the single-cell level. His dedicated research spanning 15 years focuses on unraveling the cellular mechanisms that enable swift leukocyte movement within 3D microenvironments, particularly tissues. To achieve this, he harnesses microfabricated devices and custom-designed microchips that facilitate the study of cell dynamics in precisely controlled 3D landscapes.
Pablo's efforts have significantly contributed to over 20 research articles in the realm of cell migration since 2016. His ultimate goal is to translate the amassed knowledge into medical applications.

In 2022, he made the pivotal move to the INEM in Paris, where he now leads the LEUKOMOTION Lab. This lab is dedicated to investigating the role of leukocyte motility in immune-related pathologies. Furthermore, it strives to bridge the gap between microfabricated tools and clinical practice by bringing them closer to the hospital setting, with the aim of expediting biomedical research.
